Internships

Throughout the year, the American Veterans Center and the World War II Veterans Committee host student interns from around the country, as part of its mission to train future historians and journalists who will continue to tell the stories of our veterans for generations to come. Interns are given the opportunity to learn about, and from, veterans of all eras while working projects such as American Valor Quarterly, the Veterans Chronicles radio series, and of course the Annual Veterans Day Conference and National Memorial Day Parade.

Interns and students are given the opportunity to meet and learn about America's greatest heroes. Here, former intern Michael O'Donnell visits the grave of Joe Ronnie Hooper, the most decorated soldier of the Vietnam War. Michael researched Hooper's story, which he wrote for our publication Valor: the Veterans of Vietnam.
