AVC Celebrates Women’s History Month
Lena King served with the 6888th Central Postal Directory Battalion during the Second World War. She was one of 855 women who made up the ‘Six-Triple-Eight’, the only battalion of all-African American women to deploy to Britain and France during World War II.
